We are looking for a candidate who has ambition, initiative, confidence and a fresh perspective. The Software Application Engineer Position

The Software Application Engineer’s role involves receiving, prioritizing, documenting and actively resolving client end user help requests. Key tasks include direct communication with clients to understand and replicate issues, answer fundamental usage questions, escalate issues to the software manufacturer, identify root cause problems and resolutions. Problem resolution may involve the use of diagnostics and help request tracking tools, as well as require that the individual give hands-on help at the desktop level. The individual must be able to work and make decisions independently. A willingness to learn on the job will be an essential trait for an individual to grow into this role.

Technical Experience – Required:

  • Software scripting and debugging (Java, Javascript)
  • HTML/XML or similar
  • Web applications
  • SQL

Technical Experience – Asset:

  • AutoCAD
  • Oracle
  • MSSQL Server
  • ODBC
  • SSO
  • SVN or other source control
  • ARCHIBUS

Skills Experience – Required

  • Clear Communication (Verbal and written)
  • Multitask/prioritize
  • Documentation
  • Responsiveness
  • Willingness to learn
  • Initiative

Skills Experience – Asset

  • Filtering and clarifying requirements
