What are the System Requirements for ARCHIBUS 17?

The System Requirements for ARCHIBUS 17 Enterprise are:

* Minimum Workstation System Requirements:Pentium III (or higher) compatible PC, 800 Mhz or faster
* 512 MB RAM or more
* 1024x768 SVGA display or better
* Windows 2000 Service Pack 2 or later, Windows XP Professional, Windows 2003 Server, Windows Vista Business
* Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.02 or later, such as Internet Explorer 7
* Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 (for Crystal Reports 10 support)
* 150 MB free hard disk space (500MB during installation)

Is ARCHIBUS compatible with AutoCAD 2009?
There is an issue with AutoCAD 2009 that prevents asset intelligence from being written to the DWF files. As a result, thematic highlights in ARCHIBUS reports appear gray. ARCHIBUS, Inc. has submitted a support case to Autodesk regarding this issue.
Does ARCHIBUS support Oracle 10g Release 2?
Starting with Version 16.3, ARCHIBUS will officially support Oracle 10g Release 2. Even with the latest V16.3 release, the server requires patches from Oracle.
My dynamic DWF highlights don't show. Why might that be?
DWF Files.
After you publish, use the Windows Explorer to load the DWF file itself from the 'Publish To' location (e.g. D:\Afm16\Projects\hq\reports\). Verify that the DWF file (e.g. hq17-abspacerminventoryb.dwf) has a new timestamp to show its been updated. Double-click on the DWF file to load it into the DWF Viewer. Right click, then use the Navigate option to verify that the DWF file has the proper extension (e.g. "-abspacerminventoryb.dwf"). Use the "Layers" bar of the DWF Viewer navigator to verify that the highlight layer (e.g. Z-RM-DHL) is present.

DWF Viewer Version.
Right click on the DWF Viewer and use the About box to verify that you are using DWF Viewer 6.5 and not DWF Viewer 7.0. [ARCHIBUS for Windows uses only DWF Viewer 6.5, as DWF Viewer 7.0 has errors for the kind of large numbers of DWF files that ARCHIBUS users display in report Windows. Autodesk is aware of the issue, and has led us to expect a service pack. FM Web Central uses either DWF Viewer 6.5 or 2007(7.0).]

DWF File Suffix.
Verify that your view file (e.g. xrmhxdp.avw) is looking for the correct suffix for the DWF file (e.g. has a line of the form Avw.DrawingSuffix "-AbSpaceRmInventoryB"). The suffixes keep different department's work separate by keeping the results from one process navigator separate from others. If you are using one process to generate a report, and another to view it, then you may not see your results, as the suffixes differ.

DWG Rule Activation.
If you are using the Domains/Drawing Publishing/ Drawing Publishing Rules... dialog directly to invoke a single rule, and if you are using v16.1 make certain that that rule is active. Do so in ARCHIBUS for Windows by loading the System/Schema/Drawing Publishing/Drawing Publishing Rules view and checking the "Active?" value. In v16.2, explicit single rule invocations will always publish regardless of the "Active?" value.

ARCHIBUS Version.
If you are using v16.1 r01.56 English, static highlighting works fine, but dynamic highlighting does not. For new seats, use either v16.1 r01.48, v16.1 r01.61 or v16.2 r01.15. For existing seats, you can download a patch for this issue from ARCHIBiz in the Support section under 16.1 Downloads.
Missing ARCHIBUS menus (ARCHIBUS, Modules, Design) in Overlay for AutoCAD 2006?
A simple way to restore the menus is via Overlay > Command: cuiload to get the “Load/Unload Customizations” dialog box and load the AFM customization group from Afmxx\Acad\afmxx.cui. If you already have AFM in the “Loaded Customization Groups:” list, select “AFM”, click on “Unload” to unload the existing AFM customization group and load it again from Afmxx\Acad\afmxx.cui

Another way is to add the menus manually as follows:
Overlay > Tools > Customize > Interface > Transfer tab: Make sure the left panel has “Main CUI File (acad.cui)” and the right panel “afm14.cui”. Expand the “Menus” category in both panels. Select, drag and drop the three ARCHIBUS menus: ARCHIBUS, Modules, Design from the right panel (afm14.cui) > Menus to the left panel (Main CUI file) > Menus. Click on Apply > OK.
